God Uses Ordinary People!

People fascinate me. I believe it's because each one of us is created unique, yet each of us has equal importance in the eyes of the Lord. Above is a picture that shows ordinary everyday people, just like you and me. If you look closely you might see someone you know. We are so fussy about the people we choose to spend time with or listen to, but if we look at the world through God's eyes we will not choose people at all. Instead we will pay attention to the ones He puts in our paths. Be it someone we have a longterm relationship with or someone we bump into briefly while waiting in line or walking down a crowded street; each person has the potential to be used by God in our lives.

Our diversity should be reason enough to pay closer attention to one another, but let's face it, this world is crazy and we are a generation who struggles with focusing our attention on one thing at a time. We get caught up in what is happening in our own little worlds and we miss the the reality of what is happening in the bigger world around us. Ironically it is usually the people we avoid that the Lord could use to teach us the most. God uses ordinary people to touch our lives and he speaks through people we least expect. I realize I need to be paying attention to the people around me and I encourage you to do the same. We need not look far for understanding or wisdom, it's likely standing right beside us.
